  Papua —Aktivitas pertambangan di Distrik Wapoga, Kabupaten Waropen, Papua, menjadi sorotan tajam karena maraknya praktik penambangan emas tanpa izin (PETI) skala besar yang menggunakan alat berat dan BBM ilegal serta diduga melibatkan jaringan internasional dan Warga Negara Asing (WNA) Penindakan aktivitas Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) di wilayah Distrik Wapoga , Kabupaten Waropen Papua mendapat sorotan tajam dari  Ketua  Badan Peneliti Independen Kekayaan Penyelenggara Negara & Pengawas Anggaran Republik Indonesia (BPI KPNPA RI Papua),Hardin Hardin meminta aparat penegak hukum mengusut seluruh aktivitas pertambangan ilegal BBM ilegal tersebut secara menyeluruh hingga terang-benderang, tanpa tebang pilih.
